MISSOULA, Mont. - Air Force women's soccer dropped a 2-1 match to TCU Sunday at the Montana Kickoff Invite. The Falcons are 0-1-1 on the season, while the Horned Frogs are now 1-1-0.
For the second-straight match, the Falcons rallied to tie the match with a late score. The difference Sunday, was that TCU was able to rally back with a score.
The Horned Frogs scored in the 42nd minute to take an early lead. Michelle Prokof took a pass from Makenzie Koch and scored from eight yards out.
Air Force tied the match up in the 60th minute on a goal by junior defender Kylie Williamson. Williamson scored on a header off a cross pass from freshman MF/F Ashley Greco. It was Greco's second assist in as many games and the first-career goal for Williamson.
Unfortunately for the Falcons, the tie lasted just minutes, as TCU responded with the game-winner in the 64th minute. Meghan Murphy scored on a header off a corner kick from Koch.
TCU had 10 shots, four on goal. Shannon Cofer had six saves in goal for the Frogs.
Air Force returns to action Friday, Aug. 30, at Colorado. Kickoff is 5 p.m.
