Robin Grossman enters his first year as an assistant coach at Air Force. Grossman comes to the Academy from nearby Colorado College, where he was an assistant coach from 2009-11.
In his tenure with Colorado College, the Tigers were 20-13-6. In 2009-10, he helped guide the Tigers to a 12-6-2 record and a second place finish in Conference USA. In his time with the Tigers, Grossman coached players to three first-team, two second-team, four thirdrd-team All Conference USA selections, 34 Academic Honor Roll selections, and One Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
From 2009-10 Grossman served as a Director of Coaching for Colorado Rush Pikes Peak Soccer Club in Colorado Springs. He served as the head coach for their U15 Girls Premier teams, and worked with the premier teams from U12-U18 Girls age groups.
Originally from Taos, N.M., Grossman served as the Guatemala program coordinator for Soccer Without Borders - an initiative designed to help underprivileged youth - in 2008. In 2011 he returned to the Guatemala site and also visited a site in Nicaragua as an Advisor & Staff Trainer.
He is a 2008 graduate of Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore., where he enjoyed an outstanding playing career and earned his bachelor's degree in psychology. He was named team captain in 2007 after helping to lead Pacific to one of the top 10 turnarounds in NCAA history a year earlier.
Between 2006 and 2008, Grossman also worked extensively as a staff coach for the Player Development Program and Technical Skills Academy for Willamette United Soccer Club in Oregon.
