USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force men's and women's gymnastics teams will host its fourth-annual Blue-Silver Intrasquad Gymnastics Meet on Saturday, Dec. 2. The meet, which will feature members of both the men's and women's teams competing together at the Academy's Cadet West Gym, is slated to begin at 2 p.m., and admission is free.

The two-time defending USAG national champion men's team is led by seventh-year head coach Kip Simons and senior team captain Devin Menefee. The squad features a strong returning lineup, which includes three USAG national champions in Menefee (2010 vault), Tory Brown (2011 vault) and James Okamoto (2011 pommel horse).

The women's program is guided by sixth-year head coach Doug Day and senior captain Samantha Jones, a two-time USAG All-American. The women also return a talented lineup of gymnasts, including USAG All-Americans in Jones and sophomores Emily Bucher, Linnaea Hance, Jessica Hanner and Jen Larsen.

The intrasquad meet will also be the first chance to see the talented freshmen (eight men, five women) that both squads added to their rosters for the 2012 campaign.

The men's team officially opens the 2012 season at home on Saturday, Jan. 14, when they host the annual Rocky Mountain Open at 6 p.m. The women also begin competition that day, traveling to Denton, Texas to take on Texas Woman's University.
