Gymnast Named To Verizon Academic All-District Team

U.S.A.F.A., Colo.- C1C (Sr.) Bethany Stott has been named to the Verizon Academic All-District VII Women's At-Large First Team. All first team honorees advance to the Academic All-America ballot.
Stott is a double major in foreign area studies and legal studies and is a '98 graduate of Salem High School in Windham, NH. Stott is a four-year letterwinner at the Academy and currently holds the Academy record on balance beam and floor exercise and finished the 2001-02 season ranked 14th in the nation on beam. Stott was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women's Gymnast of the Week for the week Feb. 4, 2002. She is also a 2001-02 USAG All-American on balance beam and floor, and a 2000-01 USAG All-American on balance beam, a 2000 NCAA Regional qualifier for balance beam and floor exercise and a member of the 2001 and 2002 NCAA Regional qualifying teams. Stott was the 2000 AFA Most Improved Gymnast, and 1999 AFA Newcomer of the Year.
