WOODLAND, Calif. - Sophomore Sarah Neumann paced three members of the Air Force women's gymnastics team to academic all-conference honors, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced today (April 17). Neumann, who joined seniors Linnaea Hance and Katie Hawthorne on the league's All-Academic Scholar-Athlete list.
In her first year of eligibility for the conference award, Neumann holds a 3.23 grade-point-average in operations research. Hance and Hawthorne claimed their first academic honor from the MPSF, holding respective GPAs in management of 3.03 and 3.01.
To be considered for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher, be at least a sophomore with one full academic year completed at the institution and have competed in 50-percent or more of the institution's competitions.
