The Air Force women's gymnastics team will conclude the 2009 campaign this weekend with the annual USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships in New Haven, Conn. The three-day meet, held at Moore Fieldhouse on the campus of Southern Connecticut State, will feature the top eight teams in the USAG division, as well as several individual gymnasts.
HOW IT WORKS
The Falcons open the weekend on Thursday (April 9) with the national preliminaries. Four teams will compete in easy session, with the top two advancing to Friday's team finals. The top individuals from Thursday night will advance to the individual event finals on Saturday.
The Falcons finished fourth in the opening session at the 2008 USAG Championships. Three current Falcons recorded USAG All-America honors at least year's meet, including Michelle Denise, Kayla Kincade and Brittany Dutton.
