Six Falcons Claim All-MPSF Honors

    WOODLAND, Calif. - Six members of the Air Force women's gymnastics team were honored as all-conference selections, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced on Monday, March 26. Based on their Regional Qualifying Scores, the six Falcons combined for 11 all-MPSF awards.

    Sophomore Linnaea Hance paced the Falcons with three all-conference selections, while holding the league's second-highest RQS on the uneven bars (9.745) and all-around (38.160). She also earned all-MPSF distinction on the balance beam with a 9.700 RQS.

    In her first season of collegiate gymnastics, Jessica Wallander earned two all-conference accolades, backed by the league's second-highest RQS on the vault at 9.785. The freshman was also the only Air Force gymnast to each all-MPSF honors on the floor exercise (9.725).

    Sophomores Jen Larsen and Katie Hawthorne also garnered a pair of all-conference awards. Larsen was named all-MPSF on the vault (9.640) and all-around (37.970), while Hawthorne claimed her honors on the uneven bars (9.730) and all-around (38.005).

    Rounding out the Falcons' all-conference selections were senior Samantha Jones (uneven bars, 9.660) and Jessica Hanner (balance beam, 9.730), who posted the league's second-best RQS on that event.
