Five Falcons Earn All-Conference Honors

    WOODLAND, Calif. - Five members of the Air Force women's gymnastics team were honored as all-conference selections, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced on Monday, March 25. Holding some of the league's top-eight Regional Qualifying Scores (RQS) in each event, the five Falcons combined for 11 all-MPSF honors.

    Junior Linnaea Hance and sophomore Jessica Wallander paced the Air Force contingent with three all-conference selections apiece, including the second-highest RQS marks on the vault (Wallander, 9.805) and uneven bars (Hance, 9.800). Hance was also ranked sixth in the all-around (38.670) and eighth on the balance beam (9.685), while Wallander claimed additional all-MPSF honors on the floor exercise (9.760, third) and uneven bars (9.805, eighth).

    Juniors Katie Hawthorne and Jen Larsen each picked up a pair of all-conference honors, highlighted by Hawthorne's No. 2 ranking in the all-around (38.670). The junior added a seventh-place RQS on the uneven bars (9.805), while Larsen captured all-MPSF distinction with seventh-place rankings on the vault (9.735) and all-around (38.400).

    Junior team captain Jessica Hanner rounded out the Air Force selections, as she ranked fourth on the balance beam with a regional qualifying mark of 9.740.
