WOODLAND, Calif. - Air Force women's gymnastics head coach Doug Day was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Coach of the Year for the third time in the last five years at the conclusion of the conference meet in Davis, Calif. In addition, three Falcons were named to the all-conference team.

Day, who also claimed coach of the year honors in 2010 and 2011, is in his eighth season with the Falcons' program. Air Force achieved a rare feat this season, improving its overall total in every regular-season meet. After opening the season with a 190.625, the Falcons elevated their total in all 11 meets until it topped out at 195.300 in the finale against No. 20 Arizona - the highest total since 2004 and the 15th-highest total in conference history. Air Force achieved six of its top-seven Day-era scores during the 2014 season, while accumulating the highest beam total (49.125) in the last decade and the third-best mark in MPSF history.

In addition, senior Linnaea Hance, senior Katie Hawthorne and junior Jessica Wallander combined for six all-conference honors, based on their Regional Qualifying Scores during the regular season.

Hance claimed all-league status in three events, as she was ranked second on the uneven bars (9.825) and third on both the balance beam (9.825) and all-around (38.790). Wallander added a pair of No. 5 rankings on the vault (9.785) and floor exercise (9.77), while Hawthorne is ranked 12th on the floor with an RQS of 9.765.
