WOODLAND, Calif. - Five members of the Air Force women's gymnastics team were named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Conference Team, the league office announced today (March 21), based on their regional qualifying scores (RQS). Senior Brittany Dutton paced the way with four selections, while freshman Linnaea Hance added two.
Dutton claimed all-conference honors on the vault, uneven bars, floor exercise and all-around. The Falcons only honoree on the uneven bars and floor exercise, Dutton posted the conference's second-highest regional qualifying marks at 9.695 and 9.725, respectively. She was also ranked second in the all-around (38.130), while ranking seventh on the vault (9.665). Dutton wrapped up her four-year MPSF career with 11 all-conference selections.
In her first season with the Falcons, Hance accounted for all-conference honors on both the balance beam and in the all-around. The freshman was ranked second in the conference on the balance beam with a regional qualifying mark of 9.680. She was also ranked fourth in the all-around with a 37.685 RQS.
Hance was one of three Falcons to earn all-conference honors on the balance beam. Senior Lisa Wong and freshman Jessica Hanner were ranked sixth (9.630) and seventh (9.600), respectively, on that apparatus. It is the second straight year that Wong has been named an all-conference selection on the balance beam. Junior Samantha Jones rounded out the Falcons' all-conference performers, as she posted the league's third-best regional qualifying score on the vault at 9.675.
