Abbey Rogers Earns Second MPSF Honor of the Season

WOODLAND, Calif. - Senior Abbey Rogers was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced on Tuesday, Feb. 3. It is the fifth career award for Rogers, who has claimed two of the four weekly awards handed out this season.
The team captain won the vault, uneven bars and all-around as the Falcons defeated conference foe Alaska-Anchorage on Monday night and surpass the 190-point mark. Rogers improved her personal-best scores on the uneven bars (9.800) and all-around (38.950), while setting a season-best score on the vault (9.725). The Pittsburgh native picked up a third-place finish on the balance beam (9.675) and posted the third-highest score on the floor exercise (9.750).
Rogers was one of two Air Force gymnasts to claim the league's weekly honor, as sophomore Nash Mills won the weekly award on the men's side.
Rogers and the Falcons return to action on Friday, Feb. 6, when they travel to Shreveport, La., for a dual meet with Centenary.
