The Air Force women's gymnastics team continues on the road this weekend, traveling to Davis, Calif., for a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation dual meet with league-leading UC Davis on Friday, Feb. 4. The Falcons and Aggies, who are ranked 38th in the latest GymInfo standings, will face off at 7 p.m. (PST) at The Pavilion on the UC Davis campus.

SCOUTING THE AGGIES
UC Davis, which is coming off of a 192.375-191.150 victory over Seattle Pacific, currently leads the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation with an average score of 192.056. The Aggies are led by three-time MPSF Gymnast of the Week Marcy Miller, who leads the league on the vault, uneven bars and all-around.
This weekend's dual meet with feature the entire list Air Force's Brittany Dutton and UC Davis' Marcy Miller have combined for all four MPSG Gymnast of the Week awards this season. Miller has claimed three honors (Jan. 11, Jan. 18, Feb. 1), while Dutton received the award on Jan. 25.
Air Force is ranked second in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, with an average score of 189.013. Individually, Brittany Dutton is ranked second on the vault with a 9.663 average, while Samantha Jones is ranked sixth with a 9.569 average. Dutton is also ranked among the league's top six in the all-around, holding an average of 37.983, while Linnaea Hance is listed sixth (37.175).
KEEP ON CLIMBING
For the second straight week, the Falcons increased its overall season-best point total, notching a 191.500 against 18th-ranked Minnesota. The Falcons' score, a .025 improvement over the previous week, is the sixth-best score at the Academy since head coach Doug Day took over the program in 2007.

LEADING THE WAY
Brittany Dutton and Linnaea Hance recorded the Falcons' highest score and best event finish, respectively, during the Falcons' dual meet at Minnesota. Dutton scored a season-high mark of 9.775 to place sixth on the floor exercise, while Hance placed fourth on the balance beam behind a career-best score of 9.750. Dutton also paced the squad on the vault (9.675, fifth tie), while Samantha Jones rounded out the event leaders with a sixth-place 9.650 on the uneven bars.
THE YOUNG WILL LEAD
A pair of freshmen guided the Falcons on the balance beam against the Gophers on Jan. 29. Linnaea Hance and Jessica Hanner became the first Falcons this season to crack the 9.700-mark on that event. Hance collected a team-leading score of 9.750 to finish fourth, while Hanner added a 9.725 to place fifth.
DID YOU KNOW?
Against Minnesota, the Falcons did not have to count a single score lower than 9.150 and only counted two that fell below the 9.450 mark. As a team, Air Force improved its team scores on the uneven bars (47.675) and floor exercise (48.125), en route to a season-best team score of 191.500.
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE FALCONS
Air Force returns to the Academy on Saturday, Feb. 12, for a dual meet with non-conference rival Bridgeport at 6 p.m. (MST) at the Cadet West Gym. This will be the Falcons' only home match of the month.
