WOODLAND, Calif. - Following a pair of outstanding all-around performances last week in dual meets against conference opposition, Air Force sophomore Jenna Dudley was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week, the commissioner's office announced this morning (Feb. 2). It is the first such career award for Dudley.

Over the two outings against Alaska-Anchorage and UC Davis, Dudley accounted for top-five finishes on nearly every event, including a pair of event titles on the floor exercise. She posted a season-best score of 9.725 on the floor during Wednesday's meet, before upping that score to a career-best-matching 9.775 on Saturday.

As the last gymnast against Alaska-Anchorage on Jan. 27, Dudley turned in a winning score of 9.725 to secure the Falcons' narrow victory over the Seawolves. She also finished fourth on the vault (9.525-tied) and balance beam (9.300), while claiming a third-place score of 37.500 in the all-around.

Three days later, against UC Davis, Dudley ended the night with a career-best performance of 9.775 to win her second straight floor title. She also recorded 2010-best marks on the balance beam (9.575) and all-around (38.425). Including her victory on the floor exercise, the sophomore picked up top-five finishes in every event against the conference-leading Aggies. Dudley placed second in the all-around, third on the vault (9.550), fourth on the uneven bars (9.525) and fifth on the beam.

The Falcons return to action on Sunday, Feb. 7, when they travel to Denton, Texas, to face Texas Woman's University and Northern Illinois in a triangular meet.
