Air Force Quartet Wraps Up Action at NCAA Regional

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Four members of the Air Force women's gymnastics team wrapped up competition this evening (April 10) at the NCAA Regional Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah. Highlighted by sophomore Jenna Dudley's 16th-place performance in the all-around, the quartet featured two all-around competitors and a pair of individual event specialists.
Dudley scored a 38.425 to place 16th in the all-around competition. Her best event finish of the night was a 29th-place score of 9.725 on the floor exercise. She also placed 33rd on the balance beam (9.650), 39th on the vault (9.675) and 40th on the uneven bars (9.375).
Junior Brittany Dutton also competed in the all-around, placing 19th with a combined score of 36.775. Dutton's highest score of the night came on the vault, as she tallied a 9.750 to finish 31st. She also finished 35th on the floor exercise (9.525), while picking up a pair of 42nd-place marks on the uneven bars (8.450) and balance beam (9.000).
Senior Michelle Denise and junior Lisa Wong competed as event specialist at the Salt Lake City Regional. Denise placed 30th on the floor exercise with a score of 9.700, while Wong finished 39th on the balance beam behind a score of 9.100.
Air Force concludes the 2010 season next weekend (April 15-17), as it travels to Denton, Texas, to compete at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships.
