    Air Force Triangular Meet

    FRESHMAN (2012): USAG All-American (first team) on the floor exercise after placing 12th at the USAG Championships (9.700)...competed on that event in all but one team competition...scored a career-best 9.800 on three occasions...that score was tied for the best on the team in 2012...first recorded that mark at the home triangular with Western Michigan and Denver...matched that score at the Eagle Invitational and again during the team qualifier of the USAG Championships...competed on the uneven bars in 10 meets...recorded a personal-best 9.700 at the Arizona Quad meet...opened the season with a career-best 9.525 on the vault at Texas Woman's University...also participated on that event during four other meets.

    HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB TEAM: Mounds View High School...school record holder in the pole vault...four-time participant at the Minnesota state championship meet...finished third at the 2011 championships...three-time academic all-state selection...two-time all-state honoree...three-time all-conference performer...served as team captain during 2011 season...lettered in academics all four years...member of the National Honor Society...competed at the club level for Midwest Gymnastics Center...coached by Jess Graba and Ali Lim...two-time competitor at the Junior Olympic Nationals (2010-11)...first alternate for the 2009 JO Nationals...NIT competitor in 2009.

    PERSONAL: Daughter of Dean and Diane Stych...nickname is "Al"...has one younger sister, Rachel...majoring in biology...future career plans include becoming a dentist...served at Element NCO...named to the Superintendent's List for excellence in military, academic and athletic performance both semesters......hobbies include scrapbooking, reading and spending time with family and friends...also enjoys singing..."JUMPED OUT OF AIRPLANES!!!!!" over the summer...has several relatives in the military, including an aunt (Air Force colonel), two uncles (one retired Air Force colonel, one Army) and both grandfathers (one Air Force, one Army)...favorite event is the floor exercise, because "I love to smile and show off my routine"...member of Cadet Squadron 18.
