Air Force Has Strong Start to Season at Denver Dual Meet

Jen Larsen posted a career-high 9.800 to pace the Falcons on the floor exercise.

JUNIOR | 2013: USAG All-American (second team) on the floor exercise...competed in every team competition, including 12 as an all-around competitor...also competed in the all-around at the NCAA Regional Championships...finished 14th at the Columbus Regional (38.550) to match the Falcons' best individual placement at that meet since 2005...earned all-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation honors on the vault and all-around...set career-best marks in every event...recorded career-high scores on the vault (9.775), balance beam (9.725) and all-around (38.925) against Denver...also tallied scores of 9.775 on the vault at the Air Force Quadrangular, Eagle Invitational and MPSF Championships...collected personal-best tallies during winning efforts on the uneven bars (9.775) and floor exercise (9.825) in the Falcons' win over Seattle Pacific...that floor score was tied for the best on the team in 2013...earned MPSF Gymnast of the Week honors following a pair of top-five finishes (floor exercise, all-around) in the season-opener at Denver.

SOPHOMORE | 2012: Earned all-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation honors on the vault and all-around...competed in the all-around during 13 of 14 team competitions...recorded a season-best all-around tally of 38.550 at the Denver Triangular...member of the vault rotation during the final 13 meets...scored a season-best 9.725 during the team qualifier of the USAG Championships...competed on the uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise during all 14 meets...posted a career-best 9.700 on the uneven bars twice...first reached that score against Western Michigan and Denver...matched that mark the following weekend at the Eagle Invitational...scored a career-high 9.675 on the beam against Seattle Pacific...posted a career-high 9.750 on the floor exercise during the USAG qualifier...ranked second on the team on the vault, floor and all-around.

FRESHMAN | 2011: Three-time USAG All-American...earned first-team honors in the all-around and second-team selections on the vault and floor exercise...competed in every competition, including the final five as an all-around competitor...collected a career-best 38.750 in the team qualifying session of the USAG Championships...also tallied career-best marks on the vault (9.750) and floor exercise (9.725) during that meet...competed on the uneven bars and balance beam during every team competition...posted a 9.700 on the bars during the regular season finale against Denver...scored a personal-high 9.675 on the beam at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships...reached the 38-point mark in the all-around during four of five meets...ranked second on the team on the vault and all-around.
