JUNIOR | 2013: Competed on the balance beam during every team competition...scored a career-best 9.800 in the home opener against UC Davis, Missouri and Texas Woman's University...finished fourth at that meet...that mark was the second-highest on the team in 2013...posted marks of 9.700 or higher against Seattle Pacific (9.750) and Denver (9.700)...placed second on the beam in the Falcons' win over Seattle Pacific.
SOPHOMORE | 2012: Competed on the balance beam in all but one team competition...posted a season-best 9.700 during the team finals at the USAG Championships...placed ninth at that meet...posted a mark of 9.525 to finish within the top half of the field at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships...scored above a 9.500 during seven meets.
FRESHMAN | 2011: Earned USAG All-America second-team honors on the balance beam...placed ninth in the individual event finals with a score of 9.200...recorded a career-high 9.725 during the team qualifying round to tie for fifth...scored a 9.700 to tie for seventh during the team finals...also competed on the beam during four regular season competitions.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jeff and Sherri Bucher...nickname is "Em"...father served in the Air Force for seven years...has one older sister, Tori, and two younger sisters, Megan and Katie...majoring in biology...future career plans working in Force Support and then within the physical therapy field...served as Executive Officer during the Fall of 2013...also worked with the Personnel Recovery Cadre during Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET) and served as the Leadership Reaction Course Commander during the second session of Basic Cadet Training in 2013...served as Element Leader, Academic NCO and Athletic NCO during junior year...named Outstanding Survival and Evasion Cadre for ESET and Superior Performance Leadership Reaction Course for BCT during the summer of 2013...earned Jump wings in the summer of 2011...hobbies include reading, hanging out with friends and watching movies...is extremely close to family and says "they are the most important thing in my life"...is very excited about this year's team...favorite event is the balance beam, because "it is challenging and very rewarding.
