Gymnastics The members of the Air Force gymnastics program are used to competing in the gym, but on Sunday, Oct. 4, the Falcons came together to compete on a bigger challenge. Barriteau, a former Falcon gymnast who previously spent the 2007-08 seasons as the team's military assistant, will begin her duties today (Oct. 1) as a full-time civilian coach. Gymnastics Recently graduated Air Force gymnast Abbey Rogers was named the Mountain West Conference Female Student-Athlete of the Year, the commissioner's office announced this morning (July 14). She is the fifth Academy cadet to earn the league's highest honor. Rogers was joined by BYU football player, Kellen Fowler, who earned the 2009 MWC Male Student-Athlete of the Year award. Gymnastics Recently graduated Air Force gymnastics Abbey Rogers was named a Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete, the league announced this afternoon (June 24). Rogers, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., posted a 3.76 GPA in behavioral sciences. It is the third straight year that Rogers has been honored by the MWC.
