Air Force Game Notes

The Air Force women's basketball team faces service academy rival Navy on Monday evening. The game is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. (ET) in Annapolis, Md.

LAST TIME OUT...
Shooting just over 24 percent from the field, Air Force dropped a 71-51 decision to in-state rival Northern Colorado Friday afternoon at the Academy.

Junior Katie Hilbig was the lone Falcon scoring in double-figures, registering a season-best 19 points, while classmate Dymond James added nine points and nine rebounds.

SCOUTING THE FALCONS...
Air Force carries a 3-3 overall record, including a 3-1 ledger on the road, into its game on Monday versus Navy.

Junior Alicia Leipprandt is the Falcons' leading scorer, averaging 15.5 points per game, while classmate Dymond James is also averaging in double figures scoring with 11.7 points per contest. James is also the team's leading rebounder with 7.0 boards per game.

SCOUTING THE MIDSHIPMEN...
Navy enters Monday's contest with a 1-3 overall record, following a 52-45 loss to Mount St. Mary's on Saturday.

The Mids are led by Jade Geif, who is averaging 11.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Audrey Bauer and Kara Pollinger are tied for second on the team in scoring, each averaging 7.0 points per game.

A FAMILIAR PLACE...
Annapolis is a familiar location for Air Force head coach Andrea Williams, who served as an assistant coach at Navy for two seasons (2002-04).

SHOOTING WOES...
Air Force struggled with its shooting from the field, hitting just over 24 percent (15-of-62) of its shots against Northern Colorado on Friday. The Falcons missed their first 10 field goals of the game to fall in a large hole against the Bears.

FALCONS AT THE LINE...
While Air Force had a hard time scoring from the field against Northern Colorado, they were hot from the free throw line, shooting 83.3 percent (20-of-24) at the charity stripe.

In their last two games, the Falcons have shot a combined 83.6 percent (46-of-55) from the free throw line. Leading the way for Air Force at the line is junior Dymond James, who is 12-of-12 from the stripe over the last two games, while sophomore Megan O'Neil knocked down 13-of-14 foul shots in those two contests.

The Falcons return home for their next two games, as they host the annual Air Force Classic, Dec. 2-3. Air Force will take on Jackson State on Friday evening, while facing USF on Saturday.
