The Air Force women's basketball team opens the 2007-08 season this Saturday, Nov. 3 with an exhibition game against Regis University beginning at 7 p.m. in Clune Arena. The game is open to the public and admission is free.

Team Records:
Air Force went 6-23 last season and 1-15 in Mountain West Conference play.
Regis went 26-6 last season and 17-2 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.

The Coaches:
Air Force is coached by Ardie McInelly (Boise State, 1982), who is 40-129 entering her seventh season at the Academy and 117-191 in her 12th year overall as a head caoch.
Regis is coached by Linda Raunig (Denver, 1980), who is 304-177 entering her 18th year at Regis.

Who's Back
Air Force returns 11 letterwinners and two starters from last season. The Falcons return their top two scorers in seniors Alecia Steele and Pamelay Findlay. Steele averaged 12.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game as a junior and Findlay scored 8.3 points and pulled down 4.9 rebounds per game. Air Force also returns senior Jamie Davis (G), juniors Brooke Cultra (G), Kory Gladysz (G), Chasmine Jones (F), Kim Kreke (C), Dana Loveless (F), sophomores Cynthia Lete (G), Ashley Myers (G) and Kathleen Schjodt (F).

Who's New
Air Force welcomes five freshmen to the team. Jennifer Bandai (F), Raimee Beck (G), Candic Chase (F), Liz Dunsworth (C) and Stevie Puentes (G) enter their first year at the Academy.

Scouting the Regis
Regis returns seven letterwinners and two starters from last season's RMAC Championship team. The Rangers' top returning scorer is senior guard Stevi Seitz, who averaged 10.3 points per game.

Last meeting
Air Force and Regis last met in 2005, a 72-52, Falcon win at the Academy. The Falcons made 8-of-11 three-pointers in the game (72.7 %) and shot 53.2 percent from the field. Alecia Steele had 12 points in the game, Pamela Findlay four and Jamie Davis three.

Air Force-Regis Ties
Regis junior forward Paulina Tuell began her collegiate career at Air Force. Tuell played her freshman year at Air Force, appearing in 14 games and averaging 1.1 points per game. Tuell was fourth on the team in scoring average for Regis last year, averaging 9.8 points per game.

Air Force in exhibitions
Last year, Air Force defeated Colorado School of Mines, 51-49, and lost to Metro State, 65-60, in its two exhibition games last year. Air Force is 4-2 in their last six exhibition games.

Broadcast Schedule
Ten regular-season Air Force women's basketball games will be broadcast for the 2007-08 season. Eight home games and two road contests are slated to be broadcast.

The 10 broadcast games will all be available for free at www.GoAirForceFalcons.com. Seven of those games will be on the air in Colorado Springs on AM 1300 KKML The Sports Animal. In addition to the regular season broadcast schedule, all Mountain West Conference Tournament games will be broadcast.

Fans can access the internet broadcast by clicking into the Bolt Action All-Access button on the front page or by going to the women's basketball schedule page. All of Air Force's post-season games will be broadcast to both KKML and to www.GoAirForceFalcons.com.

Jay Ritchie, in his 21st season of broadcasting Air Force athletics, will handle the play-by-play duties.

The Falcons open the regular season at Oklahoma State on Friday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. CST. The Falcons then travel to Kansas City to take on UMKC on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. CST.
