Colorado Springs, Colo. - Former Air Force women's basketball player Jenny Bandi has been named to the 2011 U.S. Pan American Team as a member of the women's team handball squad. The team will compete in the XVI Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, Oct. 14-30.

Held every four years in the year before the Olympic Games, the Pan American Games are the second largest multi-sport event after the Olympic Games. The Pan American Games will serve as an Olympic qualifier for several sports, including team handball.

Bandi, a 2011 Academy graduate, lettered for the Falcons during her freshman and sophomore years and was a two-time Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete.
