Sixteen home games, along with one home exhibition, highlight the 2010-11 Air Force women's basketball schedule, announced today by head coach Andrea Williams, who enters her first year at the helm of the Falcons' program.

"We're extremely excited about the schedule we've inherited," said Williams. "Our staff and players are confident that we will be able to find success with the challenges we'll face this season."

The Falcons play two regular-season games that will be televised by the Mountain West Sports Network (Mtn.). Air Force will host in-state rival Colorado State on Jan. 25 for its first televised game of the season. Meanwhile, the Falcons' game at TCU on March 2 will be broadcast by TCU Student Productions and aired on tape delay on the Mtn.

In addition to its 16 Mountain West Conference games, Air Force will play 13 regular-season contests against non-conference opponents, eight of which will be played in Clune Arena. After hosting Metro State in an exhibition on Nov. 5, the Falcons open the 2010-11 slate on Nov. 12 at home versus Lipscomb.

Air Force's next three games are on the road, visiting Northern Colorado (Nov. 14), Idaho State (Nov. 18) and Portland (Nov. 20) before returning home for a stretch of five straight games at the Academy. The Falcons welcome UT Martin on Nov. 23, followed by contests against Colorado Christian (Nov. 28) and Texas Southern (Nov. 3).

The Falcons wrap up their homestand by hosting the annual Air Force Classic, Dec. 3-4. Air Force faces Bryant on Dec. 3 and Texas State on Dec. 4, while Weber State will also take part in the tournament. Air Force then travels to Denver on Dec. 8, while traveling to Drake on Dec. 22. After the winter break, the Falcons close out their non-conference slate with home games versus service-academy rival Navy (Dec. 30) and Colgate (Jan. 2).

Air Force opens its conference schedule Jan. 5, when it travels to Utah, while returning home to host BYU on Jan. 8. The Falcons head to UNLV on Jan. 15, followed by a home game against San Diego State on Jan. 19 and a road trip to Wyoming on Jan. 22.

In the final week of January, Air Force remains home for games against Colorado State (Jan. 25) and TCU (Jan. 29), while wrapping up the first half of the conference schedule at New Mexico on Feb. 2.

The Falcons host Utah on Feb. 5 to open the second portion of the MWC slate, followed by a trip to BYU on Feb. 9. Air Force hosts UNLV on Feb. 16, while traveling to San Diego State on Feb. 19. After hosting Wyoming on Feb. 23, the Falcons are on the road for their next two games, visiting Colorado State (Feb. 26) and TCU (March 2), while concluding the regular season at home versus New Mexico on March 5.

Air Force will also compete in the MWC Championship from March 8-12 in Las Vegas, Nev. The MWC Championship quarterfinals and semifinals will be televised on The Mtn., with the championship televised on VERSUS.
