Findlay Named MWC Scholar-Athlete for 2004-05


    Rising sophomore Pamela Findlay, a member of the women's basketball team, was one of 28 Air Force athletes to be named a Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete for the 2004-05 season, as released by the conference office today. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two semesters or three quarters at the certifying institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have competed in at least one varsity contest in their respective sport.
    Findlay, who was also named to the conference's All-Academic team for the spring semester, concluded her freshman campaign with a 3.88 GPA. The Glenview, Ill., native saw action in all 28 games for the Falcons in 2004-05, averaging 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, while also shooting a team-best .424 (25-of-59) from three-point range. Findlay, who averaged 16.4 minutes of action per contest, also reached double-figures on three occasions, with a career-high 15 points in an early season game versus Albany.
