The Air Force women's basketball team will make its final regular season road trip this weekend when the team heads west to take on San Diego State on Thursday (Feb. 26) and UNLV on Saturday (Feb. 28). The Falcons are still looking for their first road win of the season.

    RADIO/INTERNET
The game will not be heard on local radio.

    SERIES HISTORY
The Falcons are 1-12 all-time against San Diego State. Their lone victory came in 1999-00, when Air Force notched a 77-72 win over the Aztecs at Clune Arena. It is one of the team's two Mountain West wins. Earlier this season, the Aztecs won by five points (51-46) at the Academy.

    SCOUTING THE FALCONS
The Falcons are riding a 14-game losing streak. Their most recent defeat was a disappointing eight-point loss to Utah on Saturday. The Falcons are shooting 36.5 percent from the field. They are shooting just 61.9 percent from the free throw line, last in the league. Freshman Letricia Castillo leads the team and is seventh in the league with 12.3 ppg. Shawna Neff is averaging 9.6 ppg, while Amoy Jackson is averaging 5.6 rebounds per game to lead the team.

    SCOUTING THE AZTECS
The Aztecs are 7-16 overall and 2-8 in the league. They have lost five straight games with their most recent win coming against Air Force in January. The Aztecs are averaging 54.8 ppg, which is seventh in the conference. They are led by Michelle Elliot, who is averaging 12.5 points per game. Elliott ranks seventh in the league in scoring. Ashlee Dunlap is averaging 11.3 ppg, while freshman Courtney Fritz is chipping in 9.3 ppg. Dunlap leads the team and is second in the Mountain West with 8.4 rebounds per game. The Aztecs are giving up 17.2 turnovers per game and are shooting 38.1 percent from the field.

    LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons will face UNLV on Saturday at Cox Arena. They are 2-13 all-time against the Rebels. The Falcons won in 1996-97, the first-ever meeting, then lost the next 11 games. Air Force snapped that streak last season at the Academy with a one-point victory (73-72). The win snapped a 41-game conference losing streak and is one of the team's two Mountain West victories.

    FINAL REGULAR SEASON
The Falcons will play in their final game of the season at home against Wyoming and Colorado State. Air Force lost to the two games by a combined 69 points.

    AIMING FOR 1,000
Shawna Neff scored 11 points against BYU to climb to 12th overall on the Academy's all-time career scoring list. Neff has 952 points for her career and needs just 48 points to become the 10th player in school history and the first in the Division I era to crack the 1,000 point mark. Neff will need to average 12 points per game over the next four games to crack 1,000 (if necessary, she will have the MWC tournament to make up any difference).
