Las Vegas, Nev. - Air Force continued to struggle in conference play, as the women's basketball team lost to UNLV 73-47 to remain winless in the Mountain West.

Air Force had trouble defending Linda Frohlich, the leading scorer in the conference. Frohlich scored 18 first-half points and was the game's high scorer with 22 points. Despite Frohlich's dominance of the low post, it was the Falcons who hurt themselves.

Although the Air Force shot well, finishing the game with a 47.5 shooting percentage, the Falcons notched 19 turnovers in the first half, and finished the game with 26 giveaways. They also struggled on the boards, allowing the Rebels to nearly double their rebounding output (38-20).

The game was tight until midway through the first half. Then with the score tied at 13 points each at the 10:33 mark, the Rebels used a 20-0 run to take control of the game. The Falcons would never recover.

Rozi Russ and Shawna Neff notched 10 points each to lead the Falcons in scoring. Brooke Bauer came off the bench to grab a career-high four rebounds.

The Falcons (3-19, 0-9 MWC) look to snap their nine-game losing streak against San Diego State, as the road trip continues Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Aztecs' Cox Arena. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. PST.
