LAst Time Against the Lady Rebels...

Air Force’s late rally fell short as the Falcons dropped a 63-52 decision to UNLV on Jan. 15 in Las Vegas.

The Falcons limited UNLV to just 30 percent shooting from the field, but the Lady Rebels scored 19 points from the free throw line. UNLV also outrebounded Air Force, 49-39, while the Falcons committed 23 turnovers in the game.

Sophomore Dymond James led Air Force with 13 points, while Alicia Leipprandt added 12 points. Mia Bell scored a team-best 13 points for the Lady Rebels, while Sandrine Nzeukou registered a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

    Winning the second half...

While Air Force found itself in a huge hole at halftime against BYU on Wednesday, the Falcons fought back after the break, outscoring the Cougars in the second half.

The Falcons, who scored just 13 points in the opening half, nearly tripled that amount in the final stanza, registering 38 points in the second period. Air Force was more productive across the board in the second half, outshooting BYU from the field, getting to the foul line more often and outrebounding the Cougars after the break.

    Beck Scores Again...

Senior Raimee Beck scored a team-best 15 points against BYU on Wednesday, marking her best scoring output of the conference season. It was also her first double-digit scoring game since registering 11 points at Wyoming on Jan. 22.

    A Leading Rebounder...

After grabbing eight rebounds against BYU on Wednesday evening, sophomore Dymond James now has 164 boards on the season. That total ranks as the ninth-best single-season mark in the Academy’s Division I history.

    Next Up...
