USAFA, Colo. - The Air Force Academy is once again proud to host National Girls & Women in Sports Day, including a free sports clinic, this Saturday, Feb. 1. All participants will get an opportunity to work with players from the Air Force women's basketball, volleyball and women's soccer programs during the hour and a half event.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the clinic is open to all girls in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. The clinic runs from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will take place in the Cadet Gymnasium Center Gym.
Participants will receive a T-shirt and two tickets for the child and an accompanying adult to the Falcons' women's basketball game versus Nevada on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is at 1:00 p.m. in Clune Arena and additional tickets are available for purchase for only $2 each at the athletic ticket office in Clune Arena or by calling 719-472-1895.
Participants in the clinic will be recognized during the basketball game and have an opportunity to win great prizes afterward during the Falcons' team autograph session on the court. The grand prize will be free registration to the Air Force Sports Camp of the child's choice. For more information, please call 719-333-7225.
