    The Air Force women's basketball team opens up its Mountain West home schedule this Saturday, Jan. 14, when it welcomes conference newcomer Boise State in a 2:00 p.m. contest.

    LAST TIME OUT...
    Air Force struggled offensively in its conference opener, dropping a 73-39 contests to Colorado State on the road Wednesday afternoon. Junior Dymond James was the lone scorer in double figures for the Falcons, finishing with 14 points. Meanwhile, sophomore Michelle Ivey grabbed a game-high and personal-best eight rebounds in the contest.

    SCOUTING THE FALCONS...
    Air Force enters Saturday's contest with a 5-11 overall mark and 0-1 ledger in the Mountain West.

    Junior Alicia Leipprandt is the Falcons' leading scorer on the season, averaging 14.6 points per game, while classmate Dymond James is also averaging in double figures scoring with 11.5 points per contest. James is also the team's leading rebounder with 6.9 boards per game.

    SCOUTING THE BRONCOS...
    Boise State enters this weekend's game with a 10-6 overall ledger and 1-0 mark in the Mountain West after defeating New Mexico, 65-46, in its conference opener.

    Senior Kati Isham leads the Broncos with 15.4 points per game, while Lauren Lenhardt adds 12. 8 points per contest. Meanwhile, Nicole Brady is the team's leading rebounder with 7.3 boards per contest.

    In the latest conference statistics, Air Force leads the Mountain West in steals per game (10.0) and ranks third in rebounding offense (40.2) and offensive rebounds per game (14.2).

    In the latest conference statistics, Boise State leads the Mountain West in scoring offense (72.4), field goal percentage (.429), assists (14.1) and three-point field goals made (6.4), ranks second in scoring margin (+5.6), free throw percentage (.724), three-point field goal percentage (.342), assist-to-turnover ratio (0.8) and defensive rebounding percentage (.675), and is rated third in rebounding defense (35.0), rebounding margin (+4.6) and offensive rebounding percentage (.383).

    WELCOMING THE BRONCOS...
    This week's game will mark the first meeting between Air Force and Boise State as conference rivals. The Falcons and Broncos have only met twice before, with Boise State winning both meetings, held in the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons.

    DYMOND RETURNS...
    After missing five games due to an ankle injury, junior Dymond James returned to the lineup against Colorado State on Wednesday, finishing with a team-best 14 points, while also recording a career-high five steals.

    CHERAE'S BACK, TOO...
    The Falcons saw the return of another key player in the game versus Colorado State, as sophomore point guard Cherae Medina saw action for the first time since Nov. 19. Medina, who missed 11 games due to a knee injury suffered against Texas Southern, scored two points and grabbed three rebounds in nine minutes of action versus the Rams.

    ANOTHER STARTER...
    On Wednesday afternoon, sophomore forward Michelle Ivey made her first career start for the Falcons. Ivey became the ninth different Air Force player to enter the starting lineup this season, as the Falcons have utilized nine different starting lineups through the first 16 games.

    MICHELLE CRASHES THE BOARDS...
    Sophomore Michelle Ivey was the Falcons' leading rebounder versus Colorado State, grabbing a personal-best eight boards against the Rams. Ivey also played a career-high 29 minutes while making the first start of her career.

    OFFENSIVE STRUGGLES...
    Air Force had problems with their offense against Colorado State on Wednesday, shooting a season-low 18.6 percent from the field. The Falcons also had season lows in field goals made (11) and assists (3), while failing to hit a three-pointer for the fourth time this season.

    NEXT UP...
    The Falcons are back on the road next week, when they visit Wyoming on Wednesday, Jan. 18, for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
