Air Force Falls to North Dakota on the Road

    GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Sophomore Simonne Potts (Tacoma, Wash.) scored a career-high 13 points, but the Air Force women's basketball team dropped a 76-42 contest to North Dakota Tuesday evening at the Betty Englestad Sioux Center.

    Seniors Katie Hilbig (Castle Rock, Colo.) and Alicia Leipprandt (Ubly, Mich.) added nine points each for the Falcons, while Hilbig also added a team-high eight rebounds.

    Meanwhile, Emily Evers was the leading performer for North Dakota, finishing with 17 points and 15 rebounds.

    The Falcons trailed 36-19 at the half, and could not get any closer than 14 points the rest of the way. North Dakota was able to capitalize on Air Force's mistakes, scoring 30 of their 76 points off the Falcons' turnovers.

    The Falcons return to action this Saturday, Dec. 8, when they visit in-state foe Denver in a 1:00 p.m. contest.
