Rynae Rasley enters her second season as an assistant coach with Air Force women’s basketball in 2017-18. Rasley comes to the Academy after three seasons at Nyack College in Nyack, N.Y.
During her tenure at Nyack, Rasley was responsible for the day-to-day operations for the lady Warriors. As the team’s lead-assistant, she oversaw all aspects of the program, including the team’s defensive strategy as well as opponent scouting and the programs recruiting efforts.
In her first season at Nyack, Rasley worked with the shooting guards and the team’s defense. Rasley also developed the Warriors strength and conditioning program, handled community outreach efforts, and opponent scouting.
Prior to Nyack, Rasley spent two seasons as assistant coach at The City College of New York. She was responsible for guard and post development, the strength & conditioning program, scheduling, opponent scouting and recruiting.
Rasley began her college basketball career at Chandler-Gilbert Community College where she served as captain for one year and was awarded NCAA Academic-All American. Rasley led CGCC to back-to-back Regional 1, Division II championships as the Coyotes ranked seventh and 13th, respectively, in the nation throughout her junior college career.
She transferred to The City College in 2008 and served as captain for both the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons. Rasley concluded her playing career after averaging 10 points and six assists per game. She was also a member of the outdoor track & field teams and was named a CUNYAC all-star in 2011 before graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Rasley recently earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership in 2015 from Nyack. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts from The City College of New York in 2011.
