Capt. Alison Anders enters her third season as an assistant coach at the Air Force Academy. She assists in all areas of the women's basketball program.
A native of Kewanee, Ill., Anders graduated with a degree in management from the Academy in 2002. As a cadet, she was a three-year letterwinner in basketball and a member of Ardie McInelly's first Air Force squad in the 2001-02 season. That year, Anders was named the team's defensive MVP.
Following her graduation, Anders was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, where she served one year as a crew systems engineer at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL). After her year in AFRL, she then moved to the Aeronautical Systems Center to work as the program manager for the C-17 maintenance trainers and finished up her last year as the group executive officer. While at Wright-Patterson, Anders attended Wright State University in pursuit of her M.B.A., which she earned in 2005.
Anders (formerly Tomlinson) is married to Jace, a 2002 USAFA graduate and four-year hockey letterwinner. The couple resides in Colorado Springs.
