OREM, Utah - Air Force sophomore Cole VonOhlen (Jackson, Minn.) has been named the Western Wrestling Conference Wrestler of the Week, as announced today by the league. It marks the fourth career weekly award for VonOhlen, and the second this season.

VonOhlen helped lead Air Force to a pair of dual victories on Friday, as Air Force defeated Coe, 21-13, and Western State, 26-12, to open their 2010-11 dual slate. VonOhlen, ranked 11th in the nation at 141 pounds, outscored his opponents 22-2 in his two bouts.

VonOhlen opened the day with a 4-0 decision over Coe's Chris LeClere, ranked sixth in Division III. Meanwhile, he posted an 18-2 technical fall over Western State's Jesse Cruz in his second match of the day. VonOhlen's five team points against Western State helped Air Force break a five-match losing streak to the Mountaineers, dating back to the 2005-06 season.

The Falcons will face a tough challenge this weekend, Dec. 17, as they host 14th-ranked Oregon State in dual action. The match is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. in Clune Arena.
