Air Force Opens Dual Slate With Pair of Matches
Dec. 7, 2006 The Air Force wrestling team opens up its 2006-07 dual slate this week. First, the Falcons travel to Western State on Dec. 8, before hosting Colorado School of Mines on Dec. 9. Both matches are slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
Scouting the Falcons... Leading Air Force at the prestigious Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational was two-time national qualifier Jake Kriegbaum. The junior compiled a 2-2 record on the weekend to pace Air Force. Meanwhile, five individuals picked up two wins each at the FHSU-Bob Smith Open, hosted by Fort Hays State. Andrew Teigeler won a pair of decisions, including an upset of fourth-seeded Cale Farber at 149 pounds. Freshman Akira Nervik recorded a pair of pins, while A.J. Harris, Thomas Gorry and Jordan Tribble all notched two wins each.
