The Air Force wrestling team is back in action this Friday, Nov. 15, when it heads to Sioux Falls, S.D., for the Augustana Duals. The Falcons will face Chadron State at 3:00 p.m., Morningside College at 4:30 p.m., and the host Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Live scoring for the matches will be available at

The Falcons dropped a pair of matches in their first weekend of dual competition, falling to No. 21 Northwestern, 28-15, and Stanford 30-4.

Senior Josh Kreimier (157) and sophomore Konner Witt (174) led the way for Air Force against the Wildcats, both recording falls, while sophomore Josh Martinez (125) added a decision for the Falcons. Meanwhile, Martinez was the lone Air Force wrestler to come away with a win against Stanford, scoring a major decision.

In addition to its two dual matches last weekend, Air Force also had a group of wrestlers competing unattached at the Colorado Mesa Open on Nov. 9. Three Falcons came back as placewinners, led by freshman Anthony McHugh, who finished third at 141 pounds, bringing his season win total to a team-best 11 wins, including a team-leading five falls.

Also placing in the tournament for Air Force were senior Dan Barringer and junior Jack Carda, who placed fourth at 174 and 197 pounds, respectively.

Air Force enters Friday's duals with an 0-2 record on the year. Sophomore Josh Martinez, ranked 10th in the nation at 125 pounds, has a perfect 2-0 dual mark, while 18th-ranked Josh Kreimier (157) and sophomore Konner Witt (174) are both 1-1 in dual action.

The Chadron State Eagles enter this weekend with an 0-1 dual record after dropping a narrow 18-17 contest to Northern Colorado last week. The Eagles are led by Jordan Debus, ranked third in Division II at 184 pounds, and Dustin Stodola, ranked eighth at 133 pounds. Stodola is coming off a first-place finish at last weekend's Northwest Open.

The Morningside Mustangs, ranked 19th in the preseason NAIA coaches poll, officially begin their 2013-14 schedule at this weekend's duals. Four different Morningside wrestlers are ranked in the preseason poll, led by heavyweight Tyler Kacmarynski, who is rated fifth in his weight class. Other ranked wrestlers for the Mustangs include Garret Lambrecht (10th/141), Nathan Ryan (11th/133) and Rulin Pederson (13th/184).

The Augustana Vikings open their 2013-14 dual slate this weekend. The Vikings began the year at the Daktronics Open, finishing with five placewinners. Among the leaders for Augustana include Jayd Docken, ranked fifth in NCAA Division II at 197 pounds, and Sean Derry, who is ranked seventh at 184 pounds

The Falcons have a pair of wrestlers currently ranked by numerous wrestling publications. Sophomore Josh Martinez, a 2013 NCAA qualifier and reigning WWC Freshman of the Year, is currently ranked 10th at 125 pounds by InterMat, while he is ranked ninth by Amateur Wrestling News and, 10th by DI College Wrestling and 11th by W.I.N. Magazine.

Meanwhile, senior Josh Kreimier, a returning two-time NCAA qualifier, is rated 18th in the nation at 157 pounds by InterMat. He is also rated 12th by W.I.N. Magazine, 14th by Amateur Wrestling News, 17th by and 18th by DI College Wrestling.

The Falcons return to action Saturday, Nov. 23, when they head to Kearney, Neb., for the annual UNK Holiday Inn Open.
