Wrestling Team Ranked 20th in the Nation

    For the first time this year, the Air Force wrestling team is ranked in the nation. Climbing into the polls at 20th, the Falcons hard work and effort is paying dividends. The team is 10-3 in dual meets and three Falcon wrestlers are nationally ranked.

    Scott Frohardt (149 lbs.) is ranked 12th and Terry Parham (174) is ranked 17th, while Kevin Hoy (Hwt) has the highest ranking at eighth.

    The Falcons travel to Laramie to take on Wyoming on Wed., Feb. 27, in the season's final dual meet. The dual will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be at the MultiPurpose Gym in Laramie. The Falcons defeated the Cowboys last season in Colorado Springs, 19-16.

    Wyoming is 5-10 in dual action this season, and are 2-5 in their last seven dual meets. The team is led by heavyweight Brad Steele, who is 27-7 overall and leads the team in wins. Steele is ranked 18th in the nation. The other ranked wrestler is sophomore Levi Provost (157 pounds), who is 14th in the country.

    The Falcons postseason action begins on March 9, when the team will travel to Fresno, Calif., to take part in the West Region tournament.
