This Week:
The Falcons will have a week off to prepare for the West Regionals. The Falcons will head to Laramie, Wyo., for the tournament, which will feature teams from Wyoming, Fresno State, Northern Iowa and Marquette. Air Force will be competing for 20 spots at the NCAA Championships. The tournament will take place March 3rd at the Arena-Auditorium.
Last Week:
Air Force finished its regular season with two home dual meets. The team defeated Portland State, then fell to Fresno State.
Dual Against Portland State:
The Falcons handily defeated the Vikings in the opening dual meet of the day, winning eight of 10 individual matches en route to a 25-9 victory. Kevin Hoy (Hwt) and Ryan Montanez (141 lbs.) each notched falls as the Falcons dominated the meet.
Dual Against Fresno State:
Against the nationally-ranked Bulldogs, the Falcons struggled, winning just three matches in a 29-9 loss. Andy Peters (133 lbs.) and Alex Pelbath (165 lbs.) each secured 3-2 victories over their opponents. Terry Parham also notched a solid victory at the 174-pound weight class.
