LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Air Force wrestler Cole VonOhlen (Jr., Jackson, Minn.) posted a 1-1 record on Saturday to place second at the 30th-annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. VonOhlen's finish at the CKLV Invitational was the best for an Air Force wrestler since Kevin Hoy won back-to-back titles in 2001-02.

VonOhlen, ranked fifth in the nation at 149 pounds, began the day with a 10-3 semifinal victory over Utah Valley's Josh Wilson to move into the championship bout versus Michigan's Eric Grajales. Grajales, ranked sixth at 149 pounds, took control early and never let up, earning a 9-1 major decision as VonOhlen suffered his first defeat of the season.

Also wrestling for the Falcons Saturday at the CKLV Invitational was sophomore Josh Kreimier (Fort Collins, Colo.), competing in the consolation bracket at 157 pounds. Kreimier dropped his only bout of the day, a 7-3 decision to Wyoming's Dakota Friesth.

The Air Force wrestling team is back in action on Dec. 18, when it heads to the Reno Tournament of Champions.
