Las Vegas, Nev. – Air Force concluded action at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, Friday afternoon at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Senior team captain Zen Ikehara and junior Isaac Jimenez led the Falcons with two wins apiece.
Jimenez opened up strong with a 10-3 decision over Brian Peska of Nebraska. After falling in the round of 32, Jimenez met with Collin Anderson of Embry Riddle where he posted the Falcons’ only bonus point win of the day with an 18-8 major decision.
Ikehara recorded two decision wins including a 2-0 decision over Big 12 foe Matt Waddell of Oklahoma. Sophomore Alec Opsal recorded his first loss of the season to All-American Josh Alber of Northern Iowa.
Air Force will see a slight break in action for the month of December and return to the mats at the Southern Scuffle, hosted by UT-Chattanooga, Jan. 1-2.
