Thirteen Falcons Earn WWC Academic Honors

Four named to WWC All-Academic Team; nine named to Coaches' Honor Roll

Junior 2015-16: Finished the season with a 20-13 overall record and 10-4 dual slate record … 3-2 record in Big 12 Conference matches … second on the team with 20 overall wins on the season … led the team with 42 dual points … led the team with seven major decisions … logged three technical falls and one fall … fastest fall was in 4:55 … tied for first on the team with 10 dual meet wins … led the team with seven bonus point victories in dual matches … one of three wrestlers to post a fall in a dual meet on the season … led the team with four major decisions in dual meet matches … the only member of the team to post a technical fall in conference action … NWCA Academic All-American … academic all-Big 12 first team … second place at the All-Academy Championships … eighth place at the Southern Scuffle … third at the cowboy open … Air Force wrestling scholar athlete award for 100% varsity participation while maintain a 3.72 GPA in civil engineering … Air Force wrestling most improved wrestler award … Air Force Scholar Athlete Award … Iron Bolt Award … will serve as the squadron athletics officer as a senior … head logistics cadet at the field engineering readiness lab over the first period of summer … participated in cadet summer research program in Panama City, Fla., for five weeks working on the newest engineering techniques and airfield damage repair techniques.

Sophomore 2014-15: Finished the season with a 2-8 overall record in the 197 class … recorded one fall on the season in 2:10 … scholar athlete award … WWC all-academic team with a 3.74 GPA in civil engineering … squadron element leader and wing anti-terrorism and force protection NCO … two-time WWC all-academic team … completed operation Air Force at Elmendorf AFB in Alaska … spent three weeks in Jacks Valley learning hands on civil engineering practices to include concrete placement, asphalt paving, basic construction skills … superintendent for Demons squadron during basic.

Freshman 2013-14: Posted a 13-8 overall record with a 1-5 record in dual matches at the 197 weight ... recorded one fall on the season in 4:45 ... placed first at the Cowboy Open … placed second in the UNK Holiday Inn Classic … placed second in the US Western National Open … placed third in the Bob Smith Open ... WWC All-Academic team.

High School: Lettered three years in wrestling ... coached by Jack Radabaugh and Chad Steldt ... state runner-up in his junior season … state champion as a senior ... member of the team that won state title in 2011 and finished second in 2012 ... lettered three years in football ... conference MVP ... honorable mention all-state selection ... From the Team Captain: “You become friends with a group of guys that are dedicated to something bigger than themselves and everything they left at home and together you push each other to become better on and off the mat.
