Recruiting
Our recruiting class for 2003 is getting ready for Basic Training on Thursday, 26 June.. We have 10 recruits entering the Academy and 1 recruit entering the Prep School. Here is a little summary on each of the new recruits:

Summer Workout Schedule
We have 5 categories for the players to concentrate on during the summer months:
I. Swimming / Running (Aerobic Shape) - Swim 2500 yds. at least 3 times a week / Run 2 miles at least 2 times a week...
II. Weightlifting / PFT work (Coach Adam Edwards gave each player a workout booklet)
III. Ball handling skills (with self or partner)
IV. Game experience (Club teams at home, Rocky Mountain Water Polo, Denver Masters)
V. Mental Edge (Take at least one week to veg... fishing, etc.)
In addition we want you all to cross-train (examples: Basketball, Racquetball, Biking, Hiking, Surfing.)
Bottom Line: Train 2 hours / 5 days a week.......
Pool Renovation
As I write the tile work is almost complete and looks great. We have upgraded our sound system with 18 speakers in the ceiling. They will be putting water in the pool the last week of June and the pool will be ready for POLO by the 1st week in July.. Our 10 new recruits may get a chance to try it out even before our upperclassmen during their intramurals the 1st week in July.... Our ribbon cutting ceremony will still be scheduled for Parent's Weekend... The Blue-Silver game - 30 August....

I would like to share two examples with you:
Brandon Shroyer is in Hawaii four weeks working with the Chinese Emersion program. He goes to class
4 hours a day and has everything paid for.
Scott Butler will be in LA for 6 weeks - 3 on a leadership program and 3 for leave...
(Hopefully they can find time to train.....)
June 21 - 1st summer period ends
June 22 - 2nd summer period begins
June 25 - Dinner at Outback Steakhouse (I-25 and Woodman) for the recruits and family @ 4:30 P.M.
June 26 - Class of 2007 enters (recruits will meet @ 9:00 A.M. at Arnold Hall to stick together)
June 28 - Recruits will meet with Coach Pendergast and myself
July 1 - Recruits will meet with Coach Pendergast and myself
July 12 - 2nd Summer period ends
July 13 - 3rd Summer period begins
July 13 - Doolie Dining out (Eat as much as you can @ Coach Ehrlich's and talk on the phone)
July 14 - Recruits will go to Jack's Valley
August 2 - Cadet Wing returns @ 7:00 P.M.
August 4-6 - Optional practices
August 7 - Classes and practice begin.....
August 29 - 1 Sept. (Parent's Weekend, Catered meal @ Coach Ehrlich's, Blue/Silver game, Football,
time with family)
