U.S. AIR FORCE ACADMY, Colo. – Air Force senior Riley Thomas was named an honorable mention All-American by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).
The All-America honor is the second of Thomas’ career as he was also named honorable mention in 2015. Thomas is the fourth player in Air Force history to earn multiple All-America honors, joining David Chaney (1990 and 1991), Brian Pendergast (1994, 1995 1996) and Josh Steadman (2012 and 2013).
Thomas, a utility from Laguna Beach, Calif., led the Falcons and ranked sixth in the conference with 46 goals and 73 points. Thomas earned first-team all-Western Water Polo Association honors for the third straight year as he helped lead the Falcons to a third-place finish at the WWPA Championships.
Thomas closed out his career as the fourth-leading scorer in Air Force water polo history with 292 career points on 181 goals and 111 assists.
