No. 19 Air Force Hosts Iona in Pair of Non-Conference Contests

The 19th-ranked Air Force water polo team returns to action this weekend, Oct. 18-19, with its first and only home games of the season. The Falcons will host Iona for two contests, slated for 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Last Time Out... Air Force outscored its opponents, 58-22, over the weekend, led by 12 goals from sophomore Bobby Geiger and 10 scores from junior Alex Churnside. Meanwhile, goalkeeper David Ostrom tallied 28 saves with just 13 goals against.
Scouting the Falcons... Sophomore Bobby Geiger is the team's leading goal scorer with 29 goals on the season, while junior Alex Churnside leads the Falcons with 44 total points (27 g, 17 a). In addition, senior Tyler Hewko has a team-best 18 assists on the season. In goal, junior David Ostrom has tallied 136 saves on the year.
Scouting the Gaels...
Iona is coached by Brian Kelly, in his 14th season at the helm of the program. Junior Joe Przekota leads the team with 63 goals on the season, while senior captain Patrick St. Cin is second on the team with 42 scores.
