Falcons Gear Up For Princeton Tournament
Sept. 11, 2003 U.S.A.F.A., Colo.- The Air Force water polo team travels east to compete at Princeton's North/South Invitational Tournament, Sept. 12-14. The competition begins Friday evening at 7 p.m. EST and will feature Brown, Harvard, Iona, Johns Hopkins, Navy, St. Francis, and Queens. The Falcons kick off their weekend against Iona Friday evening at 8:10.
Air Force enters the tournament 3-0 in the Western Water Polo Association and 3-1 overall after finishing third at last weekend's Triton Tournament at UC San Diego. The Falcons split in the first day of competition with a 14-3 win over La Verne and a 7-5 loss to no. 6 UC Irvine. Air Force returned Sunday to edge Loyola Marymount, 7-6, and finished the weekend by defeating Redlands, 9-6.
The following schedule outlines this weekend's play at Princeton: North/South Invitational Friday, Sept. 12 Princeton vs. Queens - 7:00 p.m. Air Force vs. Iona - 8:10 p.m. St. Francis vs. Harvard - 9:20 p.m.
