Harold Named to WWPA All-Academic Team

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Air Force water polo player Danny Harold (Corona Del Mar, Calif.) has been named to the Western Water Polo Association All-Academic team, as announced by the league today. Harold earns the honor for the second consecutive season. A total of 113 student-athletes (men and women) were named to the 2010-11 WWPA All-Academic teams. The teams consist of members who carried a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), played in at least 50 percent of the team's contests during the season, and were classified as a full-time student who has completed a minimum of one semester of two quarters at his/her institution. Harold, a rising senior, Harold holds a 3.36 GPA as an electrical engineering major. The Falcons' backup goalkeeper in 2010, Harold registered 64 saves over the season, along with five steals and two assists. Since 1989, Air Force has had 43 different players earn a total of 81 WWPA All-Academic honors, including three who were four-time honorees.
