From the Coach:

The Falcon Water Polo team had a great finish to their Spring season thanks to the Denver Masters team and the Air Force Alumni. A special thanks should go to Craig Ackley for organizing the Denver team and Jeff Heidmous for bringing in a good number of talented Alumni.

Special recognition to the following Alumni:

Goalie Craig Thomas - Team MVP 1996 - Graduate 1997 - Will be joining the coaching staff in 2003.

Goalie Mark Baudendistel - All-American, Captain, and MVP in 1989. Graduate 1990 Olympic Sports festival 1990

C1C Ben Couchman - Will graduate in 2002 and enter pilot training

C1C David Breitenbach - Will graduate in 2002 and enter pilot training

DC Conroy - Graduate of 1990 - U.S. Olympic Sports festival 1990

Mackey Contreras - Captain 1996, U.S. Olympic Sports festival 1994,1995 Graduate of 1997

Marshal Haylett - Will graduate in 2002 and enter pilot training

Brian Hasbrouck - Captain 2001, Will Graduate in 2002 and enter the field of intelligence

Jenny Trapp - Air Force Women's Club Water Polo MVP, Will graduate in 2002 and enter pilot training

Neil McCafferty - Assistant Coach 1998-2000, U.S. Olympic Sports festival 1991, Graduate of 1993

Jeff Wilkerson - Captain of 1982 team, Graduate of 1983

Coach Jeff Heidmous - Captain and MVP in 1976, Graduate of 1977, Coached 18 years at the Academy.

Special kudos to Jim Marett for being present. First intercollegiate Water Polo Coach at the Air Force Academy in 1971...
