The Air Force water polo team, ranked 13th in the nation, fell to 12th-ranked UC Davis, 12-11, in a Western Water Polo Association game, Thursday, Oct. 23, in Davis, Calif. Air Force fell to 9-12 overall and 1-2 in the WWPA. UC Davis improved to 10-12 overall and 1-1 in the league.
Air Force has won four straight games, tying as the longest streak since the 2012 season. During the streak, Air Force has beaten 20th-ranked St. Francis, 17th-ranked Loyola-Marymount and 14th-ranked Santa Clara. Three of the wins have come on the road.
Air Force's Ben Rogers was named the KAP7 Western Water Polo Association Co-Player of the Week as he helped lead the Falcons to a key conference victory last weekend. Rogers shared the weekly award with Fresno Pacific's Daniel Seymour.
Ben Rogers scored five goals and Max Benson made 14 saves to lead 13th-ranked Air Force to a 13-10 win over 14th-ranked Santa Clara in a Western Water Polo Association contest, Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Academy's Cadet Natatorium.
