Sophomore Cody Hall is heading home to Albuquerque this weekend

Oct. 8, 2009

The Dan Oosterhous era begins at Air Force this weekend as the Falcon men's tennis team travels to Albuquerque, N.M., for the Lobo Balloon Fiesta Classic, hosted by the University of New Mexico. The three-day tournament opens on Friday, Oct. 9.

Oosterhous, a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force, took over the helm of the Falcons earlier this week and will begin his coaching career this weekend. He will have 10 of his players at the tournament, including sophomore Cody Hall, who hails from Albuquerque. Hall advanced to the semifinals of the top singles flight at the Balloon Fiesta Classic last year as a freshman and is the No. 3 seed in the top flight this weekend.

Joining Hall at the tournament are seniors Austin Francis, the No. 7 seed in the top singles flight, Brett Rodgers and James Tomlin, juniors Taylor Soster and Alex Beaussart and freshmen Lance Wilhelm, Stephen Katrein, Sam Barnes and Vinni Lodolo.
