Falcons Draw TCU in Quarterfinals at MWC Championships

The Air Force men's tennis team will face TCU in the quarterfinals of the 2011 Mountain West Tennis Championships on Wednesday, April 27 at the University Tennis Complex in Fort Collins, Colo. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. (MT).
The Falcons enter the tournament as the seventh seed after finishing the regular season with a 10-13 overall record and an 0-6 mark in the MWC. The Horned Frogs, meanwhile, are ranked 54th in the country and the tournament's No. 2 seed after finishing 11-12 overall and 5-1 in league play. TCU defeated Air Force, 5-2, on March 31 at the Academy.
MWC regular-season champion and 35th-ranked BYU (19-5 overall) is the top seed after posting a perfect 6-0 mark in conference play. The Cougars receive a bye into the semifinals and will play the winner of No. 4-seeded UNLV (14-10, 3-3 MWC) and No. 5-seeded San Diego State (4-15, 2-4 MWC). The other quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday will pit the No. 3 seed New Mexico (14-9, 4-2 MWC) against No. 6-seeded Utah (7-14, 1-5 MWC).
Both semifinal contests will be played at 2 p.m. (MT) on Friday, April 29, with the championship match set for 2 p.m. (MT) on Saturday, April 30.
