    The Air Force men's tennis team will face host New Mexico on Thursday, April 23 in the quarterfinals of the 2009 Mountain West Conference Championships. The match will begin at 4 p.m. at the Jerry Cline Tennis Center in Albuquerque, N.M.

    Mountain West Conference regular-season champion and 38th-ranked TCU enters the 2009 MWC Men's Tennis Championship as the top seed after posting a 5-1 mark in conference play. Quarterfinal action begins Thursday, April 23, with semifinals on Friday, April 24 and the championship on Saturday, April 25, at 2 p.m. MT.

    No. 43 New Mexico (17-5, 4-2 MWC) is the No. 2 seed after winning a head-to-head tiebreaker with 49th-ranked Utah (16-8, 4-2 MWC), who will be the No. 3 seed. No. 61 BYU (15-10, 3-3 MWC) finished fourth in the conference standings and earns the No. 4 seed, while No. 46 San Diego State (14-11, 2-3 MWC) claims the No. 5 seed. UNLV (13-11, 2-4 MWC) and Air Force (7-17, 0-5 MWC) round out the bracket as the No. 6 and 7 seeds, respectively.

    Action at the 2009 MWC Championship gets underway Thursday, April 23, with No. 4 BYU and No. 5 San Diego State taking the court at 10 a.m. MT, followed by No. 3 Utah vs. No. 6 UNLV at 1 p.m. MT and No. 2 New Mexico vs. No. 7 Air Force at 4 p.m. MT. The top-seeded Horned Frogs received a quarterfinal bye and will await the winner of the BYU/San Diego State match. Semifinal contests will be played at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. MT on Friday, April 24, with the championship match set for 2 p.m. MT on Saturday, April 25.
