The Air Force men's tennis team wraps up its 2013-14 regular season with a pair of matches this weekend in Boise, Idaho. The Falcons will face Mountain West opponent Boise State on Saturday, April 19 and San Francisco on Sunday, April 20. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
The Falcons (13-9, 1-4 Mountain West) split a pair of matches at home last weekend, including a 5-2 victory over Utah State, the first regular season league win by Air Force since April 12, 2003. Air Force also dropped a 6-1 decision to Nevada.
Freshman Lucas Fumagalli and Alex Grubbs led the Falcons last weekend. Fumagalli went 2-0 at No. 3 doubles with junior Grant Taylor and won the No. 6 singles match against Tomas Cosmai of Utah State, 6-1, 3-6, 10-7. Grubbs, meanwhile, was the only Falcon to win both of his singles matches last weekend. Grubbs continues to lead the team with 18 overall and 15 dual match singles wins.
Boise State leads the conference with a 23-4 overall record and a 4-0 mark in league play, while USF is 13-12 entering its match against Boise State on Saturday night.
